How do we get started?
Typically I like each client engagement to start with an initial consulting appointment* (live or virtual). Here we can look at your space, talk about your goals, and actually dive into design! From clients who are just looking for some advice this appointment might be all you need for now. For others that appointment will be our starting off point for more exciting work to bring make you love your home.
What if I already know what I need help with?
While I always like to start with an initial consulting appointment, you might already have something super specific in mind like: sourcing chairs that will go with a dining table. In those case I am willing to wave the initial client engagement meeting and fee to jump right in.
After the consultation how do you charge?
My design services are a fixed hourly rate But we can discuss your budget first and work within that price.
I have young kids, is it even worth designing my house?
As a mom of 2 younger children, I’m a pro at creating homes that are not just beautiful, but also incredibly functional. I can help advise on what products you want to invest in and others where you can try to save money to best balance your budget.
What about the other online design services?
Some of those services have very low price points for “a design”. But these services typically serve you cookie-cutter designs. Their cost structure is often based on upcharging for products that they can sell in mass quantities. My cost structure is super transparent. You pay for my time, and I will always try to help you find the best prices.
Do you take on small projects?
Many other designer shy away from smaller projects. My business is set-up to help you will projects big and small. And if you are more comfortable starting with one room or design idea in your house, we can always do your next room when you’re ready. Sometimes even a few small changes can make a huge differece in your home.
What's your design aesthetic?
I can design spaces in any style. From modern to traditional, my specialty is blending your personal style with your home's character. And for families or couples who have different visions, I'm also very comfortable incorporating multiple design aesthetics into a single space.
